Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Assembler to join our team. As an Assembler, you will operate tools and equipment according to provided instructions, as well as utilize your experience to work with minimal guidance. You will also assist in creating instructions when necessary. You will be responsible for maintaining quality standards, adhering to customer specifications, and communicating effectively with supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Operate tools, equipment, and processes in accordance with provided instructions and experience.
• Assist in the creation of instructions when none are available.
• Understand and adhere to standard work, quality policies, and customer specifications.
• Monitor own work to ensure quality standards are met and communicate effectively with supervisors.
• Maintain accurate timekeeping, record keeping, labor tracking, inventory control, process documentation, scrap, and quality records.
• Support improvement initiatives to enhance the work environment, including safety, cleanliness, product quality, and efficiency.
• Generate innovative solutions to complex problems.
• Stay up to date on all certifications and training requirements for the role.
• Complete assignments on time without compromising quality.
• Train others on all tasks, if assigned.

• 2+ years of assembly experience.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Ability to read assembly diagrams or blueprints.
• Computer literacy.

• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to adapt to change.
• Self-motivation with the ability to work independently and in a cross-functional team.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to learn and complete different tasks frequently.
• Capability to execute sound judgment and demonstrate initiative.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buffalo Grove, IL.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.25/hr.
