Generator Technician Level 3 (Senior)

This role is for experienced generator technicians only.

We are hiring a Generator Technician Level 3 to support our San Antonio operations. This is a senior-level field position for technicians with 5-10 years of hands-on generator experience . This role is not entry-level and is intended for professionals who already know the generator industry.

What You'll Do

• Install, commission, service, and repair industrial and commercial generator systems
• Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and load bank testing
• Troubleshoot engines, alternators, wiring, switches, batteries, and controls
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical failures
• Respond to service calls, startups, and emergency repairs
• Accurately document service work and complete required paperwork
• Work directly with customers in a professional, solutions-focused manner
• Participate in a shared, scheduled on-call rotation

Required Experience & Qualifications

• 5-10 years of hands-on generator technician experience
• Proven experience working for a generator service or installation company
• Strong mechanical and electrical generator knowledge
• Demonstrated troubleshooting and repair ability
• Experience with ATS systems and load bank testing
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to travel locally and work in demanding field environments

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Cummins, Kohler, Generac, CAT , or similar industrial generators
• Manufacturer certifications or EGSA certification
• Experience supporting commercial, industrial, or critical-power facilities
