Job Summary:

We are looking for a New Business Developer with a strong track record of generating new business within the fresh produce industry . The ideal candidate will have established relationships with growers, retailers, and key customers , and a deep understanding of the produce supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the fresh produce market.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with growers, suppliers, retailers, and other customers .
• Drive revenue growth by acquiring new accounts and expanding existing relationships .
• Manage the buying and selling of specific produce categories , ensuring competitive pricing and strong margins.
• Negotiate with suppliers and customers to secure profitable deals.
• Monitor market trends, pricing, and supply dynamics within the produce industry.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Proven track record in Business Development or Sales within the produce or fresh food industry.
• Strong network and relationships with growers, distributors, and retailers/customer base .
• Experience in buying and selling specific produce categories is a big plus .
• Ability to negotiate, build partnerships, and close deals.
• Strong understanding of produce market dynamics, sourcing, and distribution .
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with fresh produce suppliers, wholesalers, or distributors .
• Demonstrated ability to grow revenue and open new markets .
• Established industry connections that can be leveraged for business growth.
