Shef is a weekly meal delivery service where all the food is cooked by local independent chefs. Our weekly subscribers order directly from these chefs to stock their fridge with meals for the week. 

Whether you are looking for a part time hustle or full time gig, we've got you covered. Most orders occur within just 2-3 days/wk. We take care of pretty much everything - you just do the cooking!

Job Description

We are seeking talented chefs to cook for our weekly meal delivery service. It’s a flexible, unique opportunity to do (and cook) what you love, on your schedule.

We provide the customers, order management system, customer service, payment processing, long-range delivery, and more. You just do the cooking!

All our chefs undergo vetting, taste tasting, and menu workshopping to ensure the food offerings meet our standards. Compensation is a flat fee per serving sold. Small volume chefs can earn up to ~$1k/week and large volume chefs can earn up to ~$5k+/week

You have:

• Private chef, restaurant, catering, or professional kitchen experience
• Culinary School degree and/or 3+ years of experience in restaurant kitchens
• Your food handler's or food manager's certificate (or are willing to obtain one)
• The ability (and space) to cook at least 20 servings a day
• Experience costing and sourcing ingredients 

You are: 

• Interested in doing your own thing, either on the side or more full time
• Able to cook 1-4 days/week
• Motivated, responsive and professional 
• Precise with food safety measures & cleanliness
