Job Description

Summary

With a strong understanding of the physician recruitment marketplace, the Physician Recruiter will guide the organization in creating market-attractive practice opportunities for both new and experienced physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and other licensed providers. The Physician Recruiter will develop annual physician recruitment plans and assist in the budget process, aligning with community needs, strategic priorities, and market readiness. With clarity of objectives, the Physician Recruiter will create tactical sourcing strategies that best fit the practice offering and target prospect pool. This will include the creative use of existing sourcing resources, as well as the development of solid academic relationships and the use of social media as appropriate. Beyond the recruitment process itself, the Physician Recruiter will work with the practice management team to ensure a streamlined onboarding effort and with the leadership at large to put into place solid retention mechanisms.

The Physician Recruiter will perform full-cycle recruitment activities, ensure satisfaction of position qualifications, and coordinate activities with internal resources, such as human resources, credentialing, marketing, and others, to effectively onboard providers.

Education: Bachelor's Degree required, experience may be substituted instead of education. Master's Degree preferred.

Work Experience: Three (3) years of recruitment experience, including sourcing, interviewing, and development of recruitment plans in healthcare, of which two years must have been focused on recruiting physicians and mid-level providers. Member of the National Association of Physician Recruiters preferred.

Work requires a comprehensive knowledge of interviewing techniques (including Skype, etc.), career counseling skills and recruitment strategies, and knowledge of fair employment legislation and regulations. Knowledge of the healthcare industry, healthcare associations, and others, such as academic medical centers and hospitals. Experience in composing correspondence, brochures, reports, and job posting ads.

Must be self-driven, able to work independently, convey confidence, and be approachable to all levels of the organization. Solid influencing and communication skills (both written and verbal) will be necessary to lead this effort. Proven organizational skills will be required to manage numerous tactical details. Must be able to screen, interview, and evaluate job applicants.

Salary Range: $37.60 /hour - $62.08 /hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

We are committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where we embrace and celebrate our differences, where all employees feel valued, contribute to our mission of serving the community, and engage in equitable healthcare delivery and workforce practices.

Johns Hopkins Health System and its affiliates are drug-free workplace employers.
